I first posted this picture of Andrew sometime during my first few days in Toronto over the summer. The picture below is his picture from this moment. I remember the (what I’m assuming to be) mother kept telling the little girl to look at the camera but she appears to be a little preoccupied.
On a mid August afternoon, I was fortunate to met Andrew and his wife Joanna at their cozy home located off a quiet street in the Little Italy neighborhood of Toronto. Andrew and Joanna are a creative pair; Andrew being a menswear writer in the day and moonlighting as DJ Stroke on the weekends, and Joanna, a graphic designer for the National Ballet of Canada. Their home of ten years is full of character, and an eclectic mix of vintage and modern adornments.
Toronto is an incredibly easy city to navigate with streets running parallel and perpendicular. While Andrew and I were talking, Joanna disappeared and returned with this map for me.
While in Toronto, I met so many congenial and wonderful people and Andrew and Joanna were of the best! There will be more collaborations with Andrew coming soon, but in the mean time, follow his blog, properclobber.tumblr.com for Toronto street style and latest in fashion.
Early Friday morning, I woke up on a bus somewhere in upstate New York. In a few short hours I would be leaving the United States for a long weekend stay in Toronto, Ontario. I had no idea what to expect from Toronto but was greeted with a stylish city filled with extremely gracious people. One of those people is Andrew, that runs the street style and menswear tumblr, Proper Clobber. Saturday afternoon, Andrew showed me around and revealed gems of the city I would have never discovered as a tourist. You will hear more about Andrew soon, but in the mean time, check out his blog properclobber.tumblr.com.
