October is my favorite month; and because of this, it always seems to be the one that goes by the fastest. I love the sudden crispness to the air, pulling out the sweaters I’ve missed all summer, and of course, eating delicious, savory, apples! In the middle of October on a perfect Sunday afternoon, Dylan and I retreated to a mountain top oasis to pick the star ingredient for a delectable apple pie we would make days later.
